Homemade applesauce

When you make this sweet, tasty applesauce at home, there’s no need to add cavity-causing sugar. This healthy, versatile treat is perfect for a snack, dessert or even homemade baby food.  

 

Ingredients:

6 apples, peeled and chopped

1/4 teaspoon cinnamon

1/2 cup of water  

 

Directions:

  1. Chop apples into small pieces.
  2. Place all ingredients into pot and stir. Bring mixture to a boil.
  3. Cover with lid and reduce heat to simmer for 20 minutes.
  4. Remove from heat.
  5. Mash or blend to desired consistency.
  6. Let cool before serving.
