Using the signature

Correct use of signature

When placed on a photograph, the corporate signature should be placed on one of the four corners. Never place the corporate signature on a complex texture, background or photograph with insufficient contrast. When using the unbounded logo, the same guidelines apply.

Always adhere to the protected space guidelines when placing text, illustrations or imagery near the corporate signature.

Using the corporate signature in black is acceptable if color cannot be achieved.

 

 

 

Preferred option for binders

The preferred option for binders is neutral white binders with the Delta Dental Green corporate signature. Binders may also be Delta Dental Green with the white corporate signature. Binders can be printed (4-color laminate or screen printed on vinyl). The corporate signature may be placed at a 90° angle when used on the spine of a binder. 

 

Alternate option for binders

The alternate color for binders is black with the white corporate signature screen-printed onto the binder.

 

 

 

Preferred option for clothing

Neutral white is the preferred color for all clothing with the corporate signature printed or embroidered in Delta Dental Green. Other than Pantone® 361-matched apparel, brightly colored clothing is not recommended for the Delta Dental brand. The corporate signature may be placed at a 90° angle for clothing. 

 

 

Alternate option for clothing

The alternate color for clothing fabric is black or gray with the white corporate signature screen-printed or embroidered. The Delta Dental Green corporate signature can be used on white clothing.

 

Preferred option on leather premium items

When applying the corporate signature onto leather premium items, emboss the corporate signature.

 

 

Alternate option on leather premium items

If embossing is not available, use the white corporate signature on dark leather and the black corporate signature on light leather.

 

 

Retractable banners

The corporate signature may be placed at a 90° angle when used on retractable banners.

Incorrect use of signature

Don’t skew or italicize any part of the corporate signature.

Don’t change the font used to create the corporate signature.

Don’t attach any verbiage directly underneath the corporate signature.

Don’t add other design elements like drop shadows to the corporate signature.

Don’t incorporate any special tints, gradations, textures or graphic effects.

Don’t change the corporate signatures' colors. 

Don’t alter the proportion of the Delta symbol or name.

Don’t condense, expand or otherwise distort the corporate signature.

Don’t add an outline to the corporate signature.

Don’t modify the colors of the font in the corporate signature.

Don’t use the Delta Dental wordmark without the Delta symbol. Always use the combination of the wordmark and symbol.

Don’t use the Delta symbol without the Delta Dental wordmark, except as shown here. Otherwise always use the combination of the wordmark and symbol.

Don’t alter the orientation of the Delta symbol.

Don’t place the corporate signature on a diagonal. (The corporate signature may be placed at a 90° angle for uses such as retractable banners, clothing, binder spines, etc.)

Don’t violate the corporate signature protected space.

Don’t place the corporate signature on a complex texture, background or photograph with insufficient contrast.

Don’t crop the corporate signature in any way.

Don’t distort the corporate signature when used in animation.

Don’t alter the position of logo and wordmark in the corporate signature.

Don’t create a “read-through” by using the corporate signature in a sentence or phrase.
